Tributers

Introduction

Tributors supply some 10% of crude ore requirements at Cavendish Mill.  These are small independent companies who often have other interests as well as minerals, and normally the crude ore is produced as a by-product of other mineral operations.  There has been a steady decline in the number of tributers.  This is due to the increasing requirements and costs of the deposit valuation and environmental impact assessment and the risk of not being able to secure planning consents due to the lack of clarity within the UK planning system.
