Tributers

Introduction

Some 10% of crude ore requirements at Cavendish Mill are supplied by tributers. These are small independent companies who often have other interests aswell as minerals, and normally the crude ore is produced as a by-product of other mineral operations. There has been a steady decline in the number of tributers due to the increasing requirements and costs of deposit valuation and environmental impact assessment and the risk of not been able to secure planning consents due to the lack of clarity within the UK planing system. Glebe Mines Ltd provides technical support and assistance to tributers to aid deposit evaluation, planing and operational grade control.
