Open cast extraction has been completed at this site and Glebe Mines has made considerable progress in restoring the open pit.  Since 1999 the site produced more than 700,000 ton at 30% CaF2 and was operated under a modern planning consent which was granted in 2001.

Glebe Mines took direct operational control of the site in 2001 which will be restored to original ground level by the end of 2009. Ore production from the immediate locality has continued from an extension of the deposit in a westerly direction (Arthurton West Extension).

Arthurton West Extension

Final extraction of vein minerals is currently taking place from Arthurton West Extension.   This will be immediately followed by infilling with tailings to restore ground levels.
