Metallurgical Manager

Glebe mines are based at Cavendish Mill, near Stoney Middleton in Derbyshire, England. Glebe mines are the only producer of indigenous fluorspar in the UK. Since its inception in 1999 Glebe mines have built a successful business supplying high quality fluorspar to the UK fluorochemical producers. Glebe mines are seeking to recruit an experienced Metallurgical Manager to manage daily production demands and deliver improvement projects to deliver long term, sustainable business performance.

As the successful candidate you report to the General Manager and will be responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of a 50,000 tpy fluorspar concentrate operation. This will involve leading both the operating and laboratory teams, developing key performance monitoring and management systems to optimise business profitability in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner. You will also be responsible for the management of a portfolio of process improvement projects in the main unit operations of crushing, classification, dense media separation, grinding, flotation and defining strategic options to manage tailings. You will work closely with plant geologists and Mine development managers to assess the processing implications of new ore bodies, scope and cost the required plant modifications to maintain both production quality and reliability.

You will have a metallurgist/process engineer background educated to, or working towards, a degree or Advanced diploma standard with at least 5 years experience in mineral processing. You will have extensive man-management experience, strong leadership skills,  flexible and results orientated.

Electrician

As a motivated, experienced team member you will provide technical support to assure the safe, reliable  operation of manufacturing plant. Your responsibilites  will include fault finding, rectifying defects , responding to plant breakdowns as well as implementing a program of planned  preventitive mainteannce .  You will be able to work as an effective team member and safely carry out electrical installation work to a high standard. You should be a qualified Electrician, or working to achieve the necessary qualitfications, and have a minimum of 3 years experience . Ideally and you would be available for an immediate start.16th Edition would be an advantage but not essential.

Mechanical Engineer

You will be a mechanical engineer responsible for delivering continual improvement to plant availability, reliability and integrity.  You will have at least 5 years' experience in mineral processing.  You will have excellent knowledge of mechanical statutory requirements and implementation of management systems.  You will be self motivated, tenacious and thorough, and have strong leadership skills.
